Upcoming congresses and meetings
The Educational Seminar "Learning about HIV Infection" will occur from April 4-6, 2025 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.
Changes regarding HIV infection with new developments in prevention and treatment have led to the transformation of this deadly and rapidly progressing disease into a chronic disease with a good quality of life and a normal life expectancy.
The complications of long-term infection and chronic antiretroviral therapy now accompany the long-term survival of patients. At the same time, morbidities associated with increasing age, smoking, and other acquired factors appear as they occur in the general population.
Finally, the knowledge of the symptoms of primary infection and the symptoms of stage B usually concerns non-specialist doctors and requires the awareness of doctors of all specialties for early diagnosis and treatment.
The seminar aims to train doctors in early diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection and co-morbidities.
