Research activity

The Internal Medicine Department participates in international, national, and local research programs, focusing mainly on infections and metabolic diseases. More specifically, it engages in multicenter studies recording infections such as endocarditis. In addition, he is actively involved in research studies related to metabolic diseases, monitoring patients receiving new treatments.

Its members show excellent research interest, both clinically and in the laboratory. Indicatively, for the year 2024, the clinic's medical staff published 69 articles in journals found in the Pubmed search base (link here), while 14 doctoral theses are being prepared in the clinic and the pathology laboratory.
